What is this directory?

This is a curated directory of tutors who have completed official Wilson® Reading training and/or certification. Families can browse tutor profiles, compare credentials, and connect directly with a qualified professional to support struggling readers and students with dyslexia.

Are the tutors verified?

Yes. Tutors must attest to completing recognized Wilson® training or certification, and listings are reviewed before being approved. In certain cases we may request documentation. However, parents are always encouraged to verify credentials directly with the tutor as part of their due diligence.

Do you personally recommend or rank tutors?

No. We do not rank, endorse, or recommend individual tutors. Our role is to provide a trusted place to find them so families can make informed decisions.

Do you charge parents or take a percentage of tutoring fees?

No. Parents browse freely and contact tutors directly. All arrangements (pricing, scheduling, location, and services) are handled between families and tutors.

Do tutors offer both online and in-person sessions?

Yes — options vary by tutor. Each profile indicates whether they tutor: online, in-person, or both.

Many tutors also note whether they work in homes, libraries, or other community spaces.

What ages or grade levels does this directory support?

How do I contact a tutor?

How soon will I hear back after contacting a tutor?

Response times vary by tutor. If you don’t hear back within a reasonable timeframe, feel free to reach out to another tutor listed.

Who is allowed to be listed in this directory?

This directory is specifically for tutors who have completed official Wilson® Reading training and/or certification (including Fundations®, Just Words®, WRS Level I, WRS Level II, etc.).

Is my profile reviewed before going live?

Yes. Every listing is reviewed to ensure accuracy, clarity, professionalism, and alignment with our directory standards. Approval typically takes 24–48 hours.

Can I edit my listing after it's approved?

Yes! You are free to update your information anytime.
When you edit your profile, it is temporarily unpublished while we review your updates. Once approved, it is republished. This protects parents and maintains high trust in the directory.

Can I list if I'm currently in training?

At this time, this directory is for tutors who have completed training or certification, not those currently in progress.

Do you guarantee tutoring outcomes?

No. Success depends on many factors including student needs, instructional fit, frequency, quality of support, and family involvement. Our role is to help families connect with qualified professionals.
