About Wilson Tutors

Wilson Tutors was created to help families find qualified, trustworthy reading support for struggling readers and students with dyslexia.

As an elementary educator and parent, I’ve spent years working closely with children and families. I’ve also navigated this process personally. When my oldest daughter needed specialized academic support, finding the right help was confusing and overwhelming. I wanted to make the best possible choice without wasting time, money, or risking an approach that might do more harm than good.

Like many parents, I quickly realized how difficult it can be to understand credentials, compare options, and feel confident that you’re choosing the right kind of support, especially when your child needs help now.

This directory was built to help bring clarity to that process.

Wilson Tutors is not a tutoring service and does not provide instruction directly. Instead, it serves as a curated directory of tutors who have completed recognized Wilson® Reading training and certification. Tutor profiles are reviewed before being published to help ensure accuracy, professionalism, and transparency.

While I am not a Wilson® certified tutor myself, this directory has been developed with guidance from colleagues who are Wilson® certified educators. Their expertise helps ensure the language, structure, and expectations of the directory align with best practices in structured literacy and reading intervention.

The goal is simple:
to make it easier for families to connect with qualified professionals and to do so with confidence, clarity, and trust.
